Life Saving Award - February 2024
Last night at the Valley Center Fire Protection District board meeting, 5 of our members were recognized for their exemplary efforts during a recent 911 call.
The VCFPD and VCFFA recognize the exceptional and professional effort that resulted in the preservation of life. On the morning of Wednesday, January 31st, a 911 call was received and VCFPD engine 162 and squad 162 were dispatched. Units arrived onscene to find an adult female patient in full cardiac arrest. Their level of service provided an outcome that saved an entire family and community from having to live without their mother and dear friend.
The patient is expected to be released from the hospital in the next few days. The Valley Center Fire Fighters Association has been in contact with the husband and is ready to further assist the family if needed. Thank you VCFPD Station 2 C-shift for your outstanding level of service to the community.
