Fire Extinguisher Service Day

The Valley Center Fire Protection District will be holding its semi-annual Fire Extinguisher Service Day on Thursday, April 6th, at Fire Station 1, 28234 Lilac Rd.

Fire extinguishers need to be serviced every year and can cost around $75 per extinguisher. The Valley Center Fire Protection District offers fire extinguisher service through a certified vendor for only $10. This can have significant savings for businesses that have many fire extinguishers.

Extinguishers should be dropped off at the station between 8:00 a.m.–12 p.m. and can be picked up at Fire Station No. 1 between 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Under some circumstances, repair costs may exceed the value of the extinguisher. In that case, the customer’s money will be refunded or used toward the purchase of a new extinguisher at a reduced price. It is recommended to have spare extinguishers on hand at your business or home while your other extinguishers are being serviced.
