How Valley Center won the Board of Supervisors vote

Valley Center recently secured a landmark increase in its fire district funding, thanks to a proposal led by Supervisor Jim Desmond. The change boosts Valley Center’s share of property tax revenue from 2% to 6% without raising taxes, ensuring sustainable funding for fire protection, paramedic services, and new infrastructure. This collaborative effort, supported by a wide range of community members and organizations, promises enhanced emergency services and lower fire insurance costs for thousands of local residents.

Securing critical fire funds for Valley Center

I wanted to share some fantastic news that will significantly enhance fire protection and safety for our region. At our recent Board of Supervisors meeting, we secured permanent tax allocations and yearly funding for the Deer Springs and Valley Center Fire Protection Districts.
